A few years back I created a prototype counter for the Amaco Glaze production line. The idea was to have a redundant count of the number of glaze jars produced by each batch. Each time a jar passed through an infrared eye it would tally that number into a csv file. The second phase was going to push that file to our central server or to a internal cloud so that other could access the numbers. In the long run, they decided to go with a system that they purchased with could record the reasons for the down times of the line. I also designed and 3d printed the form which was used to span the line.
