An acquaintance mentioned that they were experiencing back issues due the constant bending over to carve their ceramic wares. After pondering that dilemma for a while, I came up with the idea of a banding wheel that could move in multiple axis so that you could get the best positions without contorting your body. The following image shows the prototype
results of this project.
The z axis is spring load in one trial while being held by friction in the other trial. Both seem have promise but would require more development regarding the compression of the pot.
